Today after two month, we have finished the roads valuation project working closely with Council engineering and accounting staff. I think the documentation is the best to date. Hoping the Auditors see it that way. We used a combination of age and condition base calculations to determine the new valuations. Useful lives were determined by sampling oldest assets and comparsion with other local councils. Finally the unit rates were determined from first principles using council plant, material and labour rates with overheads applied. (Thanks to the accountants for providing the overhead %)
