In Plain Terms
I help councils get clearer about what’s happening on their unsealed roads, so they can make better decisions and get more consistent outcomes.
The work focuses on real‑world grading, resheeting, and everyday maintenance decisions — not theory, and not generic frameworks that don’t hold up on the ground.
With more than 25 years’ experience working with councils across Australia, the emphasis is always on practical outcomes that crews, supervisors, and managers can realistically apply and defend.
What I Do
Councils are supported through a mix of:
- field‑proven operational training
- management‑level workshops linking decisions to budgets and service levels
- benchmarking and performance insights
- practical tools that help decisions stick beyond the training room
Training is designed to be embedded into normal operations, not treated as a one‑off.
Where training is delivered, it’s backed by clear SOPs and simple “what good looks like” checklists so standards hold day to day. Some councils also use reporting or dashboards to support decisions — these tools support judgement, they don’t replace it.
