🛣️ Exciting Update from Warrumbungle Shire’s Training Initiatives! 🚜

We’re thrilled to share some recent highlights from our training efforts at Warrumbungle Shire, where our focus has been on enhancing grading techniques and improving road performance post-grading. Here’s an overview of what we’ve been up to:

1️⃣ **Comprehensive Unsealed Road Training:** We recently conducted extensive training sessions dedicated to unsealed road maintenance, a critical aspect of our council operations. Our goal was to implement best practice techniques for delivering high-performing roads. For example, we emphasized a seven-criteria approach, covering defect removal, gravel shoulder retrieval, windrow height (ensuring adequate depth for compaction), moisture consistency, compaction, crossfall, and drainage, all while considering the available materials and resources.

2️⃣ **Thorough Review of Grading Techniques:** We meticulously analyzed grading techniques for medium and heavy grading operations, as well as resheeting activities. To ensure accessibility and comprehension, we documented these processes via video, facilitating ongoing training and review sessions.

3️⃣ **Collaboration with Experts:** By leveraging the expertise of seasoned operators, we identified essential grader movements crucial for the efficient execution of these techniques. This collaborative effort not only honed the skills of our experienced operators but also provided comprehensive training for our new team members.

4️⃣ **Commitment to Continuous Improvement:** Following detailed reviews of the grading videos, we engaged with operational teams to identify areas for enhancement. From optimizing water truck setups to refining grading and resheeting techniques, we remain dedicated to continuous improvement.
