Just Had the opportunity to review a NSW Council using a grid roller for maintenance grading. The purpose of using the roller was to break down the grass matter that was in the material retrieved off the shoulders, rather than wasting both the grass and gravel present. We completed some further training for all staff in the new region on the unsealed road management system that has been operating at the original Mackay City council since 2002.
Started on the implementation of the maintenance management system for unsealed roads for the new region. This included the old Sarina and Mirani Shires. We have started the development of best practice operational techniques with the review of current grading techniques. Management processes of service delivery and budgeting is commencing this coming month.

Initial implementation of system and procedures is complete. This has been the quickest implementation I have ever completed.
